All of this—every word, every moment—is in pursuit of you; Esther.
In a world that sometimes incentivizes us to leave things unsaid, you created and protected a space where anything could be. It wasn’t about making people feel good; you helped them see more of themselves. It was a superpower: making others believe they were accepted, enough, and capable, all while giving them the space to find their course. The significance of your grace was less a fleeting moment of comfort and more an enduring gift of self-belief.
You understood that all I ever wanted was to be regarded by you. Yet, even when you sometimes didn’t agree, you nurtured my distinct taste and taught me to embrace it by allowing me to find it on my own. Once, while helping you make your (what I felt was world-famous) seasonings, we spoke about bottling and selling it in stores. You asked, “What should we call it?”. I stumbled on words for a minute, paused, and said “Do you like INGOODTASTE?”. With a desperately hopeful gaze, I waited for your assurance. I remember two things; your smile and words that will forever remind me how you always made me feel.
So, this brand is my attempt to envelop the ubiquitous nature of support, grace, and community you brought to everyone and everything. With it, I promise to acknowledge, explore, challenge, and celebrate.
I guess what I’m saying is, I made this for you.
If my words have found you, I ask that you take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate those who bring meaning to your life. I learned from Esther that though opportunities to do so can feel scarce and fleeting; expressions of love are often a choice and the only things that endure.
So, inside this box, you'll find a blank letter (and envelope); consider who nurtured your taste, espoused meaning in the mundane, and whose life incited you to live yours. Tell them how they matter. Reflect, write, and share with them the same support and grace that Esther shared with so many. Celebrate them.

“Making a successful luxury brand in nine years is genius. It’s a feat that I admire and hope to continue building upon with a rich legacy. He revolutionised streetwear and luxury that crosses generations and decades. He showed the world that the underrepresented, the underdogs and Black people, in particular, have brilliant minds and can push and compete equally in the establishment. He inspired hope and brought about change.” - Ibrahim Kamara, Art&Image Director Off-White™
